Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to effectively gauge clients' backgrounds and their unique approaches to treatment.

• Craft, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that focus on recovery, resilience-building, and ultimately, long-term mental health stability.

• Utilize and apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in processing trauma and developing coping strategies.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering a sense of community while guiding clients through their personal healing journeys.
\n
• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated, holistic approach to care is consistently provided.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive the guidance and care they need in critical moments.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, teach coping mechanisms, and inform them of available mental health resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that aligns with legal and ethical standards for mental health care.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development initiatives designed to improve trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed on the latest evidence-based research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including military veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals facing significant life challenges. Your work will significantly impact these clients' lives, helping them to find their strength and resilience through personalized trauma-informed care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of experience post-licensure is preferred.
\n
• Deep knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care.
\n
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations, adapting to the evolving needs of clients.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.
\n
• Strong collaborations skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience post-licensure is required, candidates with extensive backgrounds in trauma therapy, especially those familiar with various therapeutic methodologies, will be given preference. Experience in a community mental health setting is highly desirable.
