Recovery Mind Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Trauma-Informed Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote position allows you to provide vital therapeutic support to individuals grappling with trauma-related mental health challenges. With a specialized focus on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, you will play a crucial role in promoting healing and resilience among our clients.

Work Environment\n

As a mental health counselor at Recovery Mind, you will work remotely, which allows for flexibility and the ability to support clients in various geographical locations. Our work culture is collaborative and supportive; you will engage with a team of other mental health professionals and receive regular supervision and consultation to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained. We provide the technological tools necessary for effective therapeutic work, including secure electronic health record (EHR) systems that facilitate comprehensive patient management.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' backgrounds and tailor treatments effectively.

• Develop customized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience enhancement based on evidence-based practices.

• Implement therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in processing their trauma.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients develop healthy coping strategies and promote healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to coordinate integrated care for clients, ensuring all their mental health needs are addressed.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Engage in educational activities for patients and their families, explaining trauma responses and sharing coping mechanisms and available resources.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation, complying with all legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations and ongoing professional development to remain current on trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and crisis. Your role will focus on fostering a therapeutic environment that encourages trust, safety, and emotional healing. Understanding clients’ unique trauma histories is crucial in providing effective care that promotes their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or LMFT in Texas.
\n
• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment techniques.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude.

• Proficient in leveraging technology and EHR systems for patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a related field.

• Demonstrable competence in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Experience working within collaborative mental health environments.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering a yearly compensation between USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience.
