Work Environment\n

The work environment at Atlas is defined by collaboration and support. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work remotely while also connecting with colleagues through regular meetings and consultations. Our outpatient office is designed to foster a supportive atmosphere where both staff and clients can feel secure and valued. While the position offers flexibility, you will maintain a structured work schedule, typically Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of adjusted hours based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments for new patients to evaluate their trauma history and develop tailored treatment approaches.

• Create individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies, incorporating evidence-based methodologies.

• Utilize techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in direct therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that aid patients in processing their trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting overall healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated, holistic care tailored to individual patient needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stabilization.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and present unique challenges that require sensitive, tailored approaches. As a licensed therapist, you will guide these individuals on their journey towards healing, helping them reclaim their lives through comprehensive, compassionate care.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.

• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment models.

• Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions directly to patients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and non-judgmental support in interactions with patients.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and provide stability to clients.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

• Strong collaborative skills for working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with additional training or certification in trauma-focused practices will be given priority. Compensation and Benefits\n
