Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, identifying appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans focused on fostering trauma recovery and building resilience.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to promote healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and acquire effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated care tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and guidance.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their support systems.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring that patient information is protected and accurate.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Keep abreast of new research and therapeutic approaches to trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support individuals who have experienced trauma, helping them to navigate the complexities of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, addressing their unique experiences and needs with empathy and understanding. Our practice recognizes the importance of cultural competence and the necessity of tailoring interventions to fit the individual context of each patient.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure in Texas as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and various trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies that meet the unique needs of clients.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, displaying a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards patients.

• The ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and demonstrate resilience in professional practice.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications relevant to telehealth practices.

• Capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

A solid foundation in trauma therapy, including specialized training in EMDR and TF-CBT, will be highly valuable in this role. Experience in crisis intervention, as well as familiarity with community resources for mental health support, will be considered beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
