Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations of patients to establish their therapy needs and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Utilize specialized therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate patient recovery and improvement in functional status.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals and home programs.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases, share best practices, and ensure a cohesive approach to care.
• Prioritize patient caseloads and manage daily staffing assignments to maintain efficient and effective therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary patient population will include adults and children seeking rehabilitation services due to surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. You'll work closely with individuals at various stages of recovery, adjusting your approach to meet the unique needs of each patient and enhance their overall therapeutic experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient engagement and support.

Preferred Experience

• Although no prior experience is required, candidates with internships or clinical rotations in rehabilitation settings will be preferred.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team is advantageous.
