Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, guiding therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.

• Design and implement effective, individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and the building of resilience, incorporating evidence-based practices.

• Utilize recognized therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping patients with coping strategies and tools necessary for processing trauma and achieving emotional healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care in benefitting individual patient journeys.

• Respond promptly and effectively to crisis situations, providing necessary support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them as part of their recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will engage with a diverse patient population suffering from various trauma-related disorders, primarily focusing on individuals with PTSD, complex trauma, and those dealing with dissociative disorders. Our patients often exhibit a range of symptoms and coping mechanisms, making a sensitive, tailored approach crucial in therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Texas is required to ensure compliance with state regulations.

• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities is crucial for success in this role.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
