Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and assessments to understand clients' emotional, behavioral, and mental health status.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments, engaging clients actively in the recovery process.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to address diverse client needs.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to create holistic intervention strategies.
\n
• Stay informed about clients' hospitalizations by following up with attending physicians, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Educate and empower family members and primary caregivers, providing tools to help them support their loved ones through mental health challenges.
\n
• Identify and intervene in behaviors that hinder recovery, applying best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your client population will include a diverse range of individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction disorders, and relational challenges. You will utilize your clinical insights and empathy to connect with clients and understand their unique experiences, working collaboratively to develop effective treatment strategies aimed at fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in clinical settings.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to document client care accurately.
\n
• Strong knowledge of the effects of medications prescribed by medical specialists and understanding of underlying physical and emotional health conditions.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and compassionately.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a genuine empathic approach to client care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
