Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite in our outpatient office in beautiful San Jose, California. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., collaborating closely with a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to understand each patient's goals and requirements, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a patient case load, typically treating one patient per hour to ensure focused and thorough care.
• Implement cost-effective treatment measures aimed at improving range of motion and mobility while actively reducing reliance on medications.
• Utilize your orthopedic outpatient experience to formulate comprehensive care plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Create individualized fitness and wellness programs designed to address specific patient needs and conditions.
• Motivate patients and support their journey towards optimized functioning, enhancing their strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and maintain clear communication with patients regarding their progress.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously to comply with healthcare regulations and ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily working with patients seeking rehabilitation following orthopedic injuries or surgeries. Our client base is comprised of individuals who often have private insurance, allowing us to provide tailored, hands-on treatment plans. Our focus on both preventative and rehabilitative care ensures that patients receive comprehensive support throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid California state license as a Physical Therapist.
• Proven track record with no discursive legal or professional actions against your license.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and a solid foundation in developing exercise protocols.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, notably WebPT, to document patient care and manage information effectively.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, highlighting your capability to deliver specialized interventions.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
