Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions via telehealth, which is particularly important in today's evolving healthcare landscape. Key Responsibilities\n

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions remotely, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children and families.
\n
• Implement tailored interventions that address anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development, while actively reducing high-risk behaviors like self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Work closely with caregivers to enhance decision-making skills that help manage behavioral challenges within the home setting.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team, communicating consistently with various professionals involved in supporting the youth and family.
\n
• Complete and submit all required documentation, such as intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within designated time frames.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of service delivery.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus primarily on children aged 3 to 20 who present with a variety of developmental and intellectual disabilities. This diverse clientele includes individuals with unique challenges that require compassionate and culturally competent care. Given our emphasis on bilingual support, proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly valuable for effectively communicating with and supporting our families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with some weekend flexibility preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies.

• Prior involvement working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities is a plus, enhancing your capability to cater to this unique population.

• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required, along with the ability to pass a criminal background check that includes fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
