Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage in consultation with prenatal care team members, including medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants, to ensure a seamless integration of behavioral health services.

• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups, working closely with birth workers to enhance community support.
\n
• Participate actively in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting holistic wellness among birthing individuals and families.
\n
• Engage in clinical consultation and collaborative learning with interdisciplinary teams to continuously improve client care.
\n
• Provide thorough clinical documentation for each client interaction, ensuring compliance with therapeutic and legal requirements.
\n
• Perform additional related duties as requested to support the organization’s mission.
\n
• Deliver direct counseling services, including behavioral health assessments and case management tailored to the specific needs of Black birthing families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on serving Black birthing families, recognizing the unique cultural, societal, and emotional challenges they may face. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing their mental health and wellbeing, allowing them to navigate the crucial phases of childbirth and postpartum experiences with support and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A valid California license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.

• A Master's degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited institution.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and teams.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and seek assistance when needed, showcasing your commitment to personal and professional growth.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing mental health counseling in a perinatal or postpartum context is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with community resources and support systems for families during childbirth and the postpartum period.

Compensation and Benefits\n
