Key Responsibilities\n

• Offer evidence-based mental health assessment and treatment services geared toward children at risk of or diagnosed with mental illnesses, including serious emotional disturbances (SED).

• Build and foster cooperative relationships with community partners, including representatives from schools, faith-based organizations, and local programs, to enhance service delivery.
\n
• Provide therapeutic services focusing on multi-generational engagement, offering parent education and support services to families with infants and children.
\n
• Develop and implement interventions that promote resilience and effective coping strategies through individual, group, and family therapy formats.
\n
• Deliver culturally sensitive education and interventions addressing trauma and adverse childhood experiences that affect young children and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will play a crucial role in addressing the mental health needs of children and adolescents aged 3-20, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). A key part of your work will involve engaging with families to empower them, thereby enhancing the overall care and support of their children.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is a must.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is required.
\n
• A minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with weekend flexibility seen as a bonus.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for providing in-community services.
\n
• Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check that includes fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and working directly with the pediatric population, particularly those with I/DD, is highly desired.

• Prior experience facilitating therapy or counseling for children and families will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits\n
