Work Environment

This full-time position entails working onsite in our outpatient office, which is designed to encourage collaboration and communication among the health care team. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, physicians, and other health professionals, collaborating to provide comprehensive care to our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans based on individual patient assessments, utilizing appropriate assessment tools and methodologies.
• Provide direct care to patients, executing treatment programs aligned with best practices in physical therapy and continuously monitoring progress toward established goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and treatment sessions using our electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with industry standards and billing requirements.
• Consult and collaborate with an interdisciplinary health care team to address patient needs, sharing insights and strategies to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Implement screenings for specific conditions such as lymphedema and fall risk, directing patients toward suitable rehabilitation options.
• Engage in opportunities to present at workshops or contribute to publications, furthering your professional development and standing within the clinical ladder.
• Foster an environment of support and education by supervising and mentoring students or interns under your guidance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role primarily involves working with outpatient clients facing a range of challenges, from orthopedic injuries to neurological conditions. You will serve individuals who may be dealing with cognitive impairments, psychosocial dysfunction, or developmental disabilities. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and needs of our patients is crucial in delivering empathetic and effective care.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Physical Therapist License is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; a Master's or Doctorate degree is highly preferred.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or similar setting.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is essential.
• Experience in providing care to pediatric patients is highly valued.
• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices, and comfort in transitioning between clinic and hospital environments.
• Proven competence in managing inpatient care and adapting treatment strategies accordingly.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in an outpatient physical therapy office setting.
• Specialized training in advanced physical therapy techniques or modalities.
• Experience in developing evidence-based practice guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits

• An annual salary of USD 120,000 – 130,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
