Banquet Sous Chef

We’re looking for a Banquet Sous Chef at Annapolis Waterfront Hotel who brings precision, consistency, and a strong sense of ownership to every plate. This role is instrumental in executing high‑level banquet and event culinary operations, ensuring that every dish reflects the standards, creativity, and excellence that define Atlas. What You’ll Do Support the execution of all banquet and event culinary operations with consistency and efficiency Lead and oversee food preparation, production, and plating during banquet service Partner with the Regional Chef and Banquet Executive Sous Chef to ensure seamless event execution Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and timing across all events Train, coach, and support kitchen team members—reinforcing accountability and development Step into a leadership role on the line, driving pace and performance during service Assist with inventory, ordering, and maintaining appropriate food levels for events Support food cost control efforts, minimizing waste while maintaining quality Uphold all sanitation, safety, and organizational standards within the kitchen What You Bring Previous experience in a high‑volume kitchen, preferably with banquet or event execution Strong culinary foundation with attention to detail and quality Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast‑paced environment A hands‑on, solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to adapt quickly Strong organizational and time management skills A commitment to excellence and a passion for hospitality Total Rewards The base salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000 aligned with your experience, leadership scope, and the impact you bring to the business.
