Upstream Musculoskeletal Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Manassas, Virginia. Work Environment

This position is predominantly onsite within patients' homes, allowing therapists to work closely with each individual in a familiar environment. Our therapists have the flexibility to create their schedules, with hours available Monday through Friday, enabling a healthy work-life balance that aligns with personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to develop effective, patient-centered treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including therapeutic exercises, stretching techniques, hands-on manual therapy, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain and enhance patient mobility.
• Continuously monitor patient progress by tracking and documenting treatments, responses, and outcomes, ensuring clear communication with the broader healthcare team.
• Reassess and modify treatment plans as required to meet evolving patient needs and therapeutic goals, ensuring optimal recovery pathways.
• Advise patients and their families on the use of assistive devices to facilitate self-care and ambulation, thereby fostering independence in daily activities.
• Offer training sessions to patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals on physical therapy techniques and the appropriate use of assistive devices.
• Engage in continuous professional development through attending workshops, reviewing professional literature, networking, and participating in physical therapy associations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with a diverse patient population, from young children to seniors, each presenting unique challenges and goals for rehabilitation. The focus will be on orthopedic conditions that necessitate tailored intervention strategies to support patients in their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with eligibility to obtain state licensure in Virginia.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Proficient in using digital tools for documentation and communication tasks.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of patients in a home care environment.

Preferred Experience

• While prior work experience is not strictly necessary, any clinical rotations or internships within home health or outpatient settings will be considered advantageous.
• Knowledge of current best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being of our employees.
