Work Environment\n

This position operates fully remotely, utilizing a telehealth model to conduct assessments and therapy sessions. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule while adhering to set work hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some adjustments might be needed to accommodate the varying availability of patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their backgrounds and experiences.

• Conduct evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual cases, ensuring techniques are culturally relevant and effective.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, leveraging therapeutic modalities that foster resilience and improve mental health outcomes.

• Collaborate with an integrated team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to address comprehensive patient needs.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering support and guidance swiftly and effectively in emergency scenarios.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and resources that can facilitate their recovery journeys.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of clinical encounters, adhering to ethical and legal standards while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.

Your primary focus will be on individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those facing unique challenges due to cultural, ethnic, and sexual identity factors. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• Deep understanding of mental health disorders, with a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment approaches and cultural competence in therapeutic practices.

• Experience delivering individual and group therapy using culturally responsive frameworks.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills and a calm demeanor under pressure.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to connect with a diverse range of clients.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems, as well as relevant computer software applications.

• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical practices, and ensuring patient confidentiality.

• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
