Work Environment

This position requires on-site work within the homes of our patients in Paterson, NJ, creating a unique and intimate care setting. The flexibility of in-home therapy allows our therapists to develop a deeper understanding of each patient's home dynamics, thereby tailoring treatments to be more effective. Our team operates Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, providing a work-life balance that suits your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions and functional capabilities, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans based on assessment findings, with a focus on patient-specific goals and progress tracking.
• Utilize a variety of hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities—including heat therapy, electrotherapy, and manual therapy—to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies for effective injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and at-home exercises.
• Continuously monitor patient progress throughout the treatment process, making timely adjustments to therapy plans as conditions evolve.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive outpatient care.
• Maintain precise and organized patient records, documenting treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The majority of our patients experience a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including but not limited to back and neck pain, joint pain associated with osteoarthritis, post-surgical rehabilitation, and balance disorders. This role provides a fulfilling opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals facing physical challenges in the comfort of their own homes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Board certification by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience is required; however, seasoned therapists are highly encouraged to apply.
• Expertise in advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities relevant to physical therapy practice.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset to address the diverse rehabilitation needs of patients.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of clinical experience is necessary, candidates with five or more years in physical therapy, especially in home care or outpatient settings, will find that their experience is a valuable asset to our team.

Compensation and Benefits
