Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans for clients.

• Apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring therapeutic effectiveness.

• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, adapting approaches based on individual client scenarios.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic client care and maintain open channels of communication.

• Keep meticulous clinical records to comply with ethical guidelines and legal statutes while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current on research and best practices in mental health, attending targeted workshops and training sessions.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; a Master's or Doctoral degree is strongly preferred.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.

• At least two years of direct counseling experience, ideally within a clinical or community health setting.

• Demonstrated specialization or interest in areas such as trauma therapy, substance abuse treatment, or family and couples counseling.

• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal requirements relevant to counseling practices.

• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and the capacity to utilize relevant software for efficient documentation and scheduling.

• Annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, dependent on the caseload and experience level.
