Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for patients and their families, evaluating personal histories, emotional needs, and available support systems.

• Develop and execute tailored treatment plans in collaboration with patients to address psychological distress associated with terminal illness, focusing on enhancing quality of life and emotional resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care, to help patients navigate their feelings surrounding end-of-life issues.

• In partnership with healthcare professionals such as physicians and nurses, coordinate integrated care plans to ensure the provision of comprehensive support for both patients and families.

• Provide crisis intervention and support, employing de-escalation strategies and risk assessment techniques when urgent mental health issues arise.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves individuals diagnosed with terminal illnesses and their families, a population that requires specialized emotional support and understanding. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
