Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations of patients to develop personalized treatment plans targeting their specific functional limitations.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to implement treatment plans, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress and feedback.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for treatment sessions, tracking patient progress and ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and marketing efforts to promote the services offered by Carle Physical Therapy.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuous education and staff meetings, contributing to leadership and mentoring opportunities within the organization.
• Supervise and guide assigned support staff, fostering a collaborative team approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients come from various backgrounds and age groups, presenting a spectrum of orthopedic and rehabilitation needs, including post-operative care, injury recovery, and chronic pain management. You will work closely with patients to foster an environment of trust and communication, providing individualized therapy that promotes recovery and enhances functional independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency in utilizing rehabilitation technologies and methods according to best practices.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist is required, candidates with experience in a rehabilitation facility setting, especially those focusing on orthopedic therapy, will be preferred. Experience in conducting community outreach and leading educational sessions for staff and patients is also a plus.
