Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and necessary treatment approaches.

• Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

• Employing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in individual and group therapy settings.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall healing.

• Collaboratively working with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for patients, addressing both mental health and physical well-being.

• Providing crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and effective response to critical situations.

• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources for further support and resilience.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including adults struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related disorders. Our patient population includes diverse backgrounds, ensuring that your therapeutic skills will be utilized in a challenging and rewarding context. The importance of creating a safe therapeutic alliance is paramount, as many of our patients may have experienced significant ruptures in trust due to prior negative experiences.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Effective problem-solving abilities, allowing for calm and composed responses in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
