Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and to craft personalized treatment plans in alignment with their needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience building, and the overall well-being of each patient.

• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions that assist patients in processing trauma, honing coping strategies, and fostering healing.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and professionals to ensure integrated care and support for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and guidance during critical situations.

• Educate patients and their families on understanding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available therapeutic resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that complies with both legal and ethical standards within the profession.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education activities that emphasize trauma-informed care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele for this position includes individuals who have experienced significant psychological trauma, such as veterans, survivors of abuse, and those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The therapist will work closely with these patients to provide them with the necessary tools and support needed to facilitate their healing journey and promote a healthy state of mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, emphasizing trauma-focused therapy.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, as well as trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor in all client interactions.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, demonstrating effective crisis management skills.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology for documentation and patient management.

• Strong ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to integrated care.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience are required, candidates with extensive backgrounds in trauma therapy and a varied skill set in evidence-based therapeutic practices will be prioritized. Experience working in outpatient settings and providing group therapy is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
