Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, enabling you to work effectively from the comfort of your home. However, our collaborative team culture means that you'll regularly engage with colleagues through virtual meetings and consultations. Our working hours are structured from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs and therapy schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the unique emotional and psychological needs of older adults, including assessing cognitive, physical, and social factors that may impact their mental health.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness strategies, and family counseling, to support the mental well-being of our elderly patients.

• Work in close collaboration with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver an integrated care approach, ensuring all aspects of the patients' health are considered.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and stability through effective de-escalation and care strategies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources, fostering a supportive environment for recovery and understanding.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in reporting.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and training sessions to continually develop professional skills and stay informed about advancements in geriatric mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on the geriatric population, working intensively with elderly patients who are grappling with various psychiatric conditions, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and dementia. Your role will directly contribute to the improvement of their mental health outcomes and overall quality of life by addressing their unique challenges and facilitating access to appropriate therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with the elderly and their families, understanding the complexities of geriatric mental health issues.

• Proficiency in utilizing teletherapy platforms and documentation systems to maintain patient care records and facilitate remote counseling sessions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working directly with elderly populations in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
