Work Environment\n

The role is primarily remote, offering flexibility while maintaining the structure and support provided by our outpatient office. As part of our innovative team, you will have regular interactions with geriatric psychiatric specialists, engaging in virtual consultations and meetings. Our work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that encompass the complex needs of older adults, ensuring that all relevant factors—cognitive, emotional, and physical—are considered.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are informed by evidence-based practices, considering the patient's unique circumstances and challenges.

• Utilize therapeutic techniques such as individual and family therapy to address specific geriatric psychiatric conditions, adapting approaches based on patient feedback and progress.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support for elderly patients experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.

• Provide education and resources to patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community support services.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of patient interactions, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards through our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a preference given to candidates with experience in geriatric psychiatry.

• Strong knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities tailored for older adults.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and willingness to adapt to new technologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 75,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
