Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including physical examinations and health history review.
• Order and interpret a range of diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and radiological assessments, ensuring timely follow-up on results.
• Diagnose and formulate treatment plans for patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Implement effective management strategies for chronic health conditions, continuously assessing patient progress.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, maintaining close supervision of therapeutic efficacy and patient response.
• Keep detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring patient information is organized for optimal care continuity.
• Actively educate patients and families on health matters, including disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
• Promote health awareness and preventative care practices within the community.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, remaining current with best practices and emerging trends in healthcare.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Urgent Care offers services to a wide demographic, including children, adults, and the elderly, addressing a variety of medical emergencies and urgent health issues. You will be instrumental in fostering an environment of trust and reassurance, as patients often present with acute needs requiring immediate attention. Your role will contribute significantly to improving health outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred.
• A valid and active Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the state of Nevada.
• A DEA number is a requirement for this position.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency room, or primary care settings.
• Strong knowledge of health regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in acute care and primary care practices to handle a range of patient scenarios effectively.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain organized patient documentation.
• Conversational skills in other languages are a plus but not a requirement, enhancing our ability to reach diverse patient groups.

Compensation and Benefits
