Staff Accountant

Overview HoofBooks is a modern accounting and consulting firm dedicated to the equine industry , helping barns, trainers, and equestrian professionals simplify their finances while building sustainable, profitable businesses. We’re looking for a part‑time Accountant who shares our love for both numbers and horses and can reconcile QuickBooks as easily as she or he can understand a horse show schedule. Responsibilities Manage bookkeeping for multiple equine clients in QuickBooks Online Prepare and file business and individual tax returns Review and adjust client books for year‑end readiness Communicate directly with clients to explain financial results Support the development of HoofBooks SOPs and client onboarding systems Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and reporting Qualifications Experience in accounting, tax preparation, or bookkeeping (5+ years preferred) Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel Strong understanding of tax filing for small businesses Excellent communication and attention to detail Bonus: background in or passion for the horse industry Benefits Work remotely with flexible hours Collaborate with a fast‑growing, innovative brand redefining equine accounting Be part of a supportive, small‑team environment where your ideas matter Competitive part‑time compensation with potential to grow #J-18808-Ljbffr HoofBooks
