Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center located in the vibrant city of Tampa. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to assess the physical condition and rehabilitation needs of pediatric patients.
• Administer tailored treatment plans incorporating a variety of modalities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and office staff to coordinate optimal patient care, including regular consultations regarding progress and treatment modifications.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes, helping them understand the importance of home exercise programs and setting realistic goals for recovery.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation in line with legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring that patient privacy and confidentiality are always upheld.
• Provide referrals to outside services and resources when necessary, advocating for comprehensive support systems for patients and their families.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is primarily on pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents who may be recovering from injuries, surgeries, or experiencing developmental challenges. You will engage with diverse populations, requiring both compassionate care and specialized interventions to address their unique physical therapy needs efficiently. Building trusting relationships with young patients and their families is essential in promoting adherence to therapy plans and facilitating positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid Physical Therapy License issued by the State of Florida (FL PT License).
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in an acute care hospital or a rehabilitation setting focused on pediatrics.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and the therapeutic process.
• Experience working directly with pediatric populations and an appreciation for their unique physical and emotional needs.
• Familiarity with current hospital medicine practices and rehabilitation protocols.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
