Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients referred by physicians, determining their specific needs and designing comprehensive treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each child's unique condition, closely monitoring their progress and making adjustments as needed.
• Provide hands-on therapy techniques, utilizing the latest tools and modalities to facilitate optimal recovery and functional mobility.
• Conduct regular consultations and educational sessions with patients and their caregivers, empowering them with knowledge about their treatment and encouraging active participation in the recovery process.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with your colleagues to optimize patient care and enhance the overall quality of services provided.
• Meet and strive to exceed minimum utilization goals and organizational objectives, contributing positively to the growth and success of the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Pediatric Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with children experiencing a range of orthopedic impairments, including but not limited to post-operative rehabilitation, congenital issues, and sports-related injuries. Your focus will be on creating individualized treatment plans that cater specifically to the developmental needs and physical capabilities of each child, ensuring a supportive and nurturing approach at every stage of their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program through APTA or CAPTE.
• Active state license in Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer and word processing skills, with experience using EHR systems.
• Ability to establish strong, trusting relationships with patients while providing compassionate care.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in orthopedic settings, is highly desirable. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and interventions specific to children's needs will further enhance your ability to deliver exceptional care. Previous involvement in community outreach programs or educational initiatives is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a robust benefits package including:
