Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and execute tailored treatment programs for patients referred by physicians, ensuring adherence to prescribed protocols.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities to enhance patients' physical functions and alleviate pain.
• Demonstrate superior customer service in all interactions and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals for patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues from various specialties to maximize patient outcomes and share best practices.
• Provide therapeutic care in-home when necessary, employing specialized procedures that align with the physician's care plan.
• Consult and educate patients and their caregivers regarding treatment plans, exercise regimens, and self-management strategies.
• Meet, and strive to exceed, minimum utilization goals to support the growth and success of the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Down East Care, you will treat a diverse population, including patients with orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, pediatric needs, and sports-related conditions. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and executing treatments that foster recovery and enable patients to return to their daily lives and activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• Current state license in Physical Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, necessary for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in computer skills and electronic medical records systems.
• Ability to establish rapport with patients and their families, fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly favored.
• Prior experience—at least 2 years—in a clinical setting, demonstrating solid clinical judgment and expertise in treatment planning.
• Current CPR Certification is a must.
• Experience with a range of patient populations and treatment modalities, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation settings.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive annual salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, complemented by full benefits. Our benefits package includes:
