Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients, assessing their movement patterns and functional capabilities.
• Design individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique challenges, goals, and aspirations.
• Provide a wide variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, functional exercises, and ergonomic training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patients' overall care and ensure seamless integration of services.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously in compliance with EMR systems, particularly utilizing Web PT for accurate record-keeping.
• Engage in ongoing patient education, promoting self-management strategies and exercises to support recovery.
• Adapt treatment modalities based on patients' evolving needs, regularly assessing the effectiveness of interventions.
• Encourage patients, fostering a positive and motivating atmosphere to help them stay committed to their rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. The patient demographic may include athletes striving to return to competitive performance, adults managing chronic pain, and elderly individuals seeking improved mobility. Understanding each patient's specific background and rehabilitation history is critical to providing personalized care that achieves desired outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, free of any disciplinary actions or board proceedings, is essential.
• Strong proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and the ability to implement effective exercise regimens for diverse patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, especially Web PT, to ensure precise and thorough documentation of patient care.
• Staying current with ongoing research and advancements in physical therapy to provide evidence-based treatments.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, depending on experience.
