Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients referred by their physicians.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches to deliver rehabilitative care, ensuring that therapeutic practices are aligned with the latest research and clinical guidelines.
• Provide skilled treatment to a diverse range of patient populations, including those with orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, pediatric conditions, and sports medicine needs.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by actively engaging patients and their families, effectively communicating care plans, and addressing their concerns.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes, attending case discussions and contributing to team strategies for optimal recovery protocols.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapy techniques, home exercises, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery and prevent future injuries.
• Monitor and measure patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment while adhering to all policies and regulations related to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clinical expertise will cover a wide array of specialties, allowing you to work with patients of varying ages and conditions. You will be addressing the needs of patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and developmental or neurological impairments. Your role is essential in helping them regain functional independence and confidence in their physical abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear patient interactions.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and patient tracking.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with patients, understanding their individual needs to exceed functional goals.
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with patients and diverse team members.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is preferred, along with a state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• Current CPR certification.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
