Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide crisis management during therapy sessions as needed, ensuring a secure environment for both patients and staff.

• Collaborate closely with the treatment team and milieu staff to maintain the highest standards of clinical quality, including effective communication and coordinated care.

• Complete all necessary clinical documentation promptly, ensuring that records are finalized during or immediately after each session to maintain accuracy.
\n
• Develop and maintain strong therapeutic rapport with patients and their families by actively assessing their needs, including evaluating any suicidality risks.
\n
• Conduct comprehensive admission assessments with professionalism, welcoming new patients and ensuring they feel supported throughout the intake process.
\n
• Participate in regular treatment team meetings to discuss and plan ongoing therapeutic goals, fostering collaborative clinical support.
\n
• Provide utilization reviews for insurance providers, delivering pertinent clinical information to secure authorizations for continued care.
\n
• Respond promptly to family inquiries, returning all calls and emails during business hours within 2 hours, and addressing off-hours communication within a 24-hour timeframe.
\n
• Coordinate with the Utilization Review Department and Business Department regarding patient authorizations and payments, ensuring clarity throughout the process.
\n
• Initiate the discharge planning process from the first day of admission, conducting discharge sessions to confirm understanding of coping strategies, transition plans, and follow-up resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse patient population facing a range of mental health challenges. This includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health issues. Your role will necessitate a patient-centered approach, initiating individualized care strategies to empower clients in their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution.

• A valid independent license in the state of Oregon, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.

• Demonstrated capability to manage a diverse and large caseload while collaborating effectively with healthcare providers and support staff.

• A strong commitment to improving the lives of individuals experiencing mental health struggles.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical records and adept at managing communications via email.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with electronic healthcare systems and familiarity with electronic documentation.

• Previous experience in a fast-paced clinical environment, particularly within outpatient settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
