Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Liberty Therapy Clinic, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing functional capabilities and determining appropriate treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized treatment programs that address the unique needs of orthopedic patients, managing diverse issues ranging from post-operative recovery to chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
• Deliver effective therapeutic interventions using a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to facilitate optimal patient recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment protocols as necessary in consultation with collaborating healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and their families regarding injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and home exercise regimens, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Contribute to a culture of excellence by collaborating with colleagues, sharing insights, and participating in ongoing professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, sports-related injuries, and those needing rehabilitative care for chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in New Jersey, as mandated by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure safety protocols are followed.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years of experience, candidates with background experience in specialized fields such as pediatric or neurologic physical therapy will be at an advantage. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and evidence-based practice methodologies will also be beneficial.
