The physical therapist will work primarily in patients' homes, providing care in a familiar and comfortable setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with orthopedic concerns, assessing functional limitations and disabilities.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, implementing evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery.
• Regularly consult with other healthcare providers and specialists to ensure a seamless continuum of care for patients.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of evaluation findings, treatment plans, and progress notes in adherence to professional standards and regulations.
• Lead and participate in interdisciplinary meetings, contributing insights on patient care and advocating for effective treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, progress expectations, and home exercises to foster independence and engagement in their recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically serves patients with orthopedic conditions who are experiencing functional limitations that impact their daily lives. Our clientele varies in age, cultural background, and severity of condition, which requires a physical therapist to possess cultural competence and exhibit compassion. The therapist will work closely with individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic pain conditions, and other musculoskeletal issues, focusing on rehabilitation and empowerment.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy or eligibility for licensure in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills are essential for effective documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
