Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of children and adolescents to understand their emotional and behavioral needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and focusing on the child's developmental stage and family context.

• Provide therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy, to address diverse concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Offer crisis intervention support and management during mental health emergencies involving young clients.

• Educate children and families about mental health issues, available treatments, and local community resources to foster understanding and support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation, aligning with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case discussions, and continued professional development initiatives.

• Stay current with research and trends in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents, who may present with various mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.

• Deep knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders as well as familiarity with evidence-based treatment methods.

• Proven experience providing therapeutic services to children and their families, particularly in individual and family settings.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting compassion and a child-centered approach.

• Ability to foster rapport and trust with children and their families to facilitate effective treatment.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the capacity to utilize necessary software applications.

• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team structure to promote holistic patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of direct clinical experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting.

• Experience collaborating with psychiatrists or other mental health professionals in a multidisciplinary team.

• Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention and management strategies for children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience.
