Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of children and adolescents needing guidance and support.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans, taking into account developmental stages, family dynamics, and individual therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy to address a range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to ADHD and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at strengthening the family's ability to support their child's mental health journey.

• Collaborate effectively with child psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care and address any emergent concerns comprehensively.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support, assisting young patients and their families during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to foster their understanding and participation in care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records through our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Regularly attend team meetings and engage in professional development opportunities, staying informed on best practices in child and adolescent therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role directly supports children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. A compassionate and child-centered approach is crucial, as you will work closely with young clients and their families to understand their experiences and promote healing through professional support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure in the state of Georgia as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
\n
• Robust understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment techniques, and family therapy modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering therapy to children and adolescents in an individual or group setting.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with children, teenagers, and their families.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and strong computer proficiency.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team that values different perspectives and skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of direct experience in mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
