Position Overview

Firepower Rehab & Therapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality orthopedic rehabilitation services to our diverse patient population in a supportive and efficient setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments by utilizing a combination of manual tests, functional evaluations, and specialized tools to identify musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Design personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, aligning with both the patient's rehabilitation goals and physician input, while continually modifying the plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Implement safe and effective physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as heat and electrical stimulation, to facilitate recovery.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on the treatment process, self-care strategies, and home exercise programs to promote independence and long-term wellness.
• Serve as a consultant to physicians and interdisciplinary teams, providing expertise on physical function, treatment precautions, and recommendations for adaptive equipment.
• Supervise and mentor support staff in delivering patient care, ensuring adherence to best practices and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We treat a wide range of cases, including post-operative rehabilitation following joint replacements, sports injuries, and rehabilitation for conditions such as arthritis. Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is required.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing effective exercise programs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a rehabilitation facility or outpatient clinic setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices.
• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities or continuing education in orthopedic therapy are a plus.
