Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work in a supportive, state-of-the-art facility located in Long Beach, where the team focuses on patient-oriented methods. Our work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, creating a consistent schedule that allows for a balanced work-life commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and address the specific goals and requirements of each patient through personalized intake evaluations.
• Manage individual patient caseloads of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring dedicated time and attention to each case.
• Implement effective treatment interventions for patients undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, employing both manual therapy and exercise techniques.
• Develop, document, and adapt comprehensive care plans that may include therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training.
• Motivate and empower patients throughout their treatment process to optimize their physical functioning and enhance compliance.
• Regularly measure and evaluate treatment outcomes, adjusting protocols as needed to meet progress benchmarks.
• Document all patient care services accurately and consistently, maintaining clear and objective records to comply with legal standards and clinic protocols.
• Encourage lifestyle modifications that promote physical wellness, enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and support staff, to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in continuous professional development by seeking out opportunities for learning and training in the latest therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Your focus will be on delivering tailored interventions that facilitate recovery, improve mobility, and enhance the overall quality of life for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including active adults and senior patients. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each demographic will allow you to create effective treatment strategies.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• An unblemished professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques, along with proficiency in developing exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is preferred to streamline documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly valued to ensure a smooth transition into our clinic's workflow.
• A background in fitness training or wellness program development can enhance your effectiveness in motivating clients.
• Certifications or additional training in specialized therapy modalities are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package with an annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
