Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, creating personalized treatment plans based on their specific orthopedic conditions and goals.
• Implement effective therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance recovery and function.
• Monitor and assess patients' progress regularly, modifying treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants during treatment sessions, ensuring adherence to the outlined care plans and facilitating their professional growth.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coherent and synchronized care.
• Document clinical findings and track patient progress through clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Actively participate in case conferences to discuss and strategize patient care with the interdisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative approach.
• Evaluate patients' home environments and provide recommendations for necessary modifications to enhance health and independence.
• Instruct patients and families in home exercise programs and the use of assistive devices to support continued rehabilitation efforts outside of clinical settings.
• Engage in ongoing education and training initiatives to stay current in best practices and evolve as a clinician.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on orthopedic patients, ranging from post-operative care following joint replacements to individuals managing chronic neurological conditions. You will work with diverse populations, including athletes recovering from sports injuries and elderly patients experiencing age-related musculoskeletal issues. Your treatment will be tailored to each individual's circumstances, enabling you to make a meaningful impact on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
• Deep understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation principles and practices.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, to collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
