This role is remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance. You will engage with clients primarily through teletherapy sessions, utilizing secure video conferencing tools and electronic health record systems such as AVATAR. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary assessments and detailed mental health evaluations, meticulously documenting each client’s progress from the initial consultation through the end of treatment.

• Develop tailored treatment and intervention plans that align with the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a comprehensive approach to mental wellness.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities to help clients explore their feelings and behaviors.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress against established treatment goals, adjusting plans as needed based on client feedback and clinical judgment.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health professionals, physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.

• Act as a liaison for clients needing referrals, helping them navigate additional services and support networks for more comprehensive care.
\n
• Provide guidance to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them to support their loved ones in managing mental health challenges.
\n
• Proactively reach out to psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require inpatient care, ensuring continuity and effectiveness in treatment.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas is mandatory.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
\n
• Proficient understanding and prior utilization of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n
• Demonstrated experience dealing with mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions, as well as current knowledge of addiction disorders.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to engage clients effectively.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community health setting strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is desirable.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of medications prescribed by medical specialists and their potential effects on mental health is advantageous.

• Strong interpersonal skills complemented by a sympathetic and empathetic demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n
