Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews and intake assessments to document each client’s journey from consultation through treatment completion.

• Formulate and implement personalized intervention strategies and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, taking into account unique needs and situations.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions by employing various therapeutic modalities to effectively address mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges.

• Track and evaluate client progress throughout the treatment planning process, adjusting interventions as necessary to maximize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication in developing intervention plans.

• Assist clients transitioning to inpatient care by coordinating with psychiatrists and attending physicians for seamless follow-up and continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and proactively address behaviors or issues that may impede recovery, offering guidance and support to clients and their families.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating challenges associated with mental health disorders, providing tools and resources to facilitate understanding and compassion.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be primarily focused on serving a diverse client base at our community health clinic, including individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction issues. Your role will involve creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment that helps clients articulate their thoughts and feelings, empowering them to take an active role in their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
\n
• A successful performance on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health theories, practices, and ethical guidelines in counseling.
\n
• Excellent oral and written communication capabilities to effectively convey ideas and build rapport with clients and colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to empathize and connect with individuals from all walks of life.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to document therapy sessions and client progress.

• Knowledge of co-occurring physical health and emotional disorders, alongside experience with addiction treatment practices.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) in clinical treatment.

• An understanding of the implications of various psychotropic medications and their effects on patient outcomes.

Inner Wisdom Psychotherapy Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a generous sign-on bonus.
