Work Environment\n

This is a remote position with the option to work from our outpatient office in Danville, Virginia. We offer an accommodating work environment—our clinic operates seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm, allowing for the scheduling flexibility our staff needs. Our team-oriented culture promotes collaboration, encouragement, and continuous professional development. All necessary tools and technologies for effective teletherapy, including secure electronic medical record (EMR) systems, will be provided to help you succeed in your role.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for clients, tailoring individualized therapy strategies based on unique needs.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring the highest quality of care.

• Utilize various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care, working alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and other clinicians.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training relevant to the evolving field of mental health.

The clients you will serve at Sunshine Counseling & Recovery Clinic include individuals dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, from relationship conflicts to trauma and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia.

• A minimum of two years of experience in counseling or therapy, ideally in a clinical setting.

• Solid understanding of family systems therapy and effective treatment methodologies relevant to individuals and families.
