Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments to gather comprehensive information regarding clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, documenting findings accurately and effectively.

• Develop tailored treatment and recovery plans for individuals, families, and group therapy sessions based on assessed needs and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group sessions, focusing on strengthening coping mechanisms and enhancing life skills.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document clients’ progress throughout their treatment, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, which include psychologists, psychiatrists, and medical professionals, to create cohesive treatment strategies.

• Maintain ongoing communication with external partners such as hospitals and support services for clients requiring additional care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and work with clients to develop strategies to overcome these challenges.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, ensuring they have the necessary tools to assist their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Crestpoint Counseling Center, you will primarily support clients facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles. Our diverse client base means you will have the opportunity to work with individuals at various ages and stages of life, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your empathetic approach and clinical skills will be crucial in supporting clients as they navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possess current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the State of Texas.

• Completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) with a passing score.

• Experience working with clients as a mental health counselor in both clinical and outpatient settings is essential.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, for effective documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated insight into managing both mental and physical health conditions, including addiction disorders.

• Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary psychotherapy practices and familiarity with guidelines set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects, as discussed with medical professionals.

• Proficiency in communication, combined with a caring, interpersonal approach to client engagement.

Compensation and Benefits\n
