Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide short-term, evidence-based counseling and therapeutic support to students facing a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Develop individualized care plans that align with each student's unique circumstances, focusing on their specific strengths and needs.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the mental health needs of students, including screening for serious emotional disorders.
\n
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
\n
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions that educate staff and families about mental health awareness and resource availability.
\n
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of students, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.

• Document all interactions and interventions in accordance with organizational policies and state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on students from diverse backgrounds, including those experiencing major mental illness and severe emotional disorders. You will engage with children and adolescents who might be facing various challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to more complex conditions requiring immediate intervention.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Active LCSW licensure in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with youth and families from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills crucial for working within a team and documenting patient care effectively.

• Familiarity with the challenges faced by students in an educational setting and a commitment to advocating for mental health awareness.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a school environment or with children and adolescents in a clinical capacity is highly desirable.

• Experience developing and executing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or similar support plans.

• Understanding of community resources available for family and child support.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
