Work Environment\n

This position operates remotely, allowing for flexibility in work-life balance while ensuring that high-quality care is delivered. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and compassionate mental health assessments that address the distinct needs and life experiences of older adults.

• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans that incorporate cognitive changes, physical health status, and social contexts for each patient.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including both individual and family therapy, specifically tailored to treat geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer an integrated approach to patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective support for elderly patients.

• Inform patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources to encourage informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and collaboration.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• Strong knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-centered, empathetic approach for establishing rapport with elderly clients.
