Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day and Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year of Combined Permanent Experience in Specialty License: Permanent Ohio License or Compact State License Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Certifications Must-Have: - Must have 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for. - Must have active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS in hand at the time of application. - One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required for submission. - Must work at least every other holiday. Description: Med/Surg Tele RN position available. Potential to float to units providing care for a similar patient population. Rotating shifts include 7 PM to 7:30 AM and 7 AM to 7:30 PM. Shifts may be variable based on operational needs. Candidates must complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores required. Travelers will have a maximum of two attempts to pass assessments. Candidates with any background checks will be reviewed, and candidates with open cases will not be accepted. Background checks for any license hits will not be accepted. All travelers must comply with nicotine-free requirements unless stated otherwise. A negative drug screen must be completed within the last 12 months and updated annually. Candidates must complete BCI/FBI prints within 48 hours of signing the contract. Extensions are possible with clients for a period of 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required. Annual hands-on competency requirements apply for continuous contracts or returning contracts in the following calendar year. Modules vary in time depending on specialty and must be completed pre-start and annually.
