The Brook Physician Assistant Clinic is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our focused team at our Surgical Center located in Mount Vernon, New York. In this full-time, onsite role, you will be pivotal in assessing, diagnosing, planning, and implementing comprehensive medical care for our diverse patient population in collaboration with our supervising physicians. You will practice within the full scope of your licensure and be responsible for coordinating the delivery and evaluation of care, which includes direct patient care, education for patients and their families, and managing transitions of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients and meticulously review their medical histories to guide treatment strategies.
• Order, analyze, and interpret various diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of health conditions and illnesses typical of family medicine, providing a holistic approach to patient care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients dealing with chronic and infectious diseases, ensuring alignment with best practices and patient preferences.
• Prescribe necessary medications and closely monitor patient responses to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Maintain precise and organized patient records, ensuring compliance with health regulations and facilitating ease of access for ongoing patient care.
• Deliver comprehensive education to patients and their families about disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and management of health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Brook Physician Assistant Clinic, you will cater to a varied patient population consisting of individuals from different age groups and backgrounds. Your role will involve managing their care both in the Surgical Center as well as in outpatient follow-ups. Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Strong clinical foundation with proven experience in a family health clinic or a similar healthcare setting.
• In-depth knowledge of health regulations and patient care standards that govern practice.

• DEA certification is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Brook Physician Assistant Clinic offers an attractive salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise.
