Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Facility in the vibrant Cape Coral, a location that blends the beauty of nature and the advantages of urban living. You will workMonday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our rehabilitation facility is designed to foster healing and comfort, featuring personalized treatment rooms and spaces for group activities that encourage social interaction among patients. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, chiropractors, and physician assistants, fostering a holistic approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' goals and needs, and develop tailored treatment plans accordingly.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Create individualized fitness and wellness programs that address specific challenges and promote overall health.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, providing ongoing feedback and adjustments to care plans to maximize outcomes.
• Motivate and inspire patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, using effective communication and encouragement to help them overcome obstacles.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic conditions, ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. You will work with a diverse clientele, including athletes, active seniors, and individuals recovering from work-related injuries. Your ability to tailor approaches based on the unique needs and backgrounds of each patient will be crucial in fostering their trust and ensuring effective recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Active State License as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience in patient assessments, treatment planning, and executing therapeutic interventions.
• Proficiency in utilizing rehabilitation tools and methodologies to deliver high-quality care effectively.
• Outstanding communication skills, enabling you to connect with patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt treatment approaches based on patient responses.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced recovery techniques, including aquatic therapy or specialized manual therapy approaches.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining patient documentation.
• Background in implementing wellness programs that enhance patient mobility and function.

Compensation and Benefits
