Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients including history assessment and specialized tests, making informed recommendations based on findings.
• Communicate comprehensive evaluation results and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in the goal-setting process to instill ownership and motivation for their recovery.
• Implement tailored treatment protocols that respect individual patient presentations and adapt to the realities of the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and safety, addressing changes in patient conditions with timely documentation and response.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care effectively, ensuring continuity in recovery processes through well-documented patient care activities, including evaluations and ongoing progress tracking.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills while maintaining a consistent schedule that meets productivity expectations.
• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the facility's services and enhance patient access.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including serving as a clinical instructor to students and assisting with the education of future physical therapists.
• Contribute to project initiatives aimed at overcoming barriers to patient access and actively participate in our Access NRH program.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility serves a diverse patient population requiring orthopedic rehabilitation services ranging from post-surgical recovery to chronic pain management. You will primarily support individuals recovering from surgeries related to joints, bones, and muscles, working closely with patients of various ages and backgrounds who seek to restore their mobility and quality of life. Your expertise will directly influence their rehabilitation experience, guiding them towards successful and sustainable recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Active state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification is required.

Compensation and Benefits
