Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible work environment, enabling you to conduct therapy sessions remotely while interacting closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team of professionals. Our outpatient office primarily serves El Paso residents who require tailored therapeutic interventions. The work schedule includes Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evening hours as needed for client appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments that evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, with a keen focus on identifying co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions addressing both mental health and substance use concerns.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with essential coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and skills for emotional regulation.

• Partner with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to ensure seamless and holistic care.

• Monitor substance use trends, employing motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients throughout their recovery process.

• Educate clients and their families about the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use disorders, underscoring the significance of ongoing treatment and compliance.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client treatment progress, interventions, and referrals in line with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in collaborative discussions during case conferences and participate in regular staff meetings to enhance knowledge and skills in treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily be serving individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health issues alongside substance use disorders. This often includes adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies specific to co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• An in-depth understanding of how mental health and substance use disorders interact.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills paired with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of professional experience in a mental health counseling capacity, particularly in settings focusing on co-occurring disorders.
