Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience while delivering high-quality care to our clientele. You will engage with patients through telehealth platforms, providing therapy sessions and assessments in a comfortable and supportive setting. Some in-person meetings may occur periodically to facilitate teamwork and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments that evaluate clients' trauma histories, enabling the formulation of personalized treatment plans that address unique needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to aid individuals in their recovery journeys.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions that focus on coping strategies, peer support, and recovery skills that promote resilience.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to coordinate integrated care for all clients.
\n
• Respond to crisis situations by providing immediate therapeutic interventions, ensuring safety and emotional support for patients in distress.
\n
• Educate clients and families on the impacts of trauma, coping mechanisms, and relevant community resources that facilitate continued support.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal guidelines and ethical standards, keeping electronic health records updated and accessible.

• Actively participate in case consultations and team meetings to foster a collaborative approach to healing.
\n
• Commit to ongoing learning by engaging in professional development and training related to trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will primarily be on individuals dealing with trauma-related challenges, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By fostering a safe environment, you will enable clients to explore their trauma and develop pathways to healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC, LCSW, LSCSW, or similar mental health credential in the state of Kansas.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-focused therapy practices and a strong understanding of trauma-related disorders.
\n
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey empathy and understanding to clients in a non-judgmental manner.
\n
• Strong technical skills with experience in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.
\n
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably with trauma-affected populations.

• Proficient in using trauma-informed treatment modalities and delivering group therapy sessions effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
